One of Nigeria’s finest female singers, Simi has officially dropped her highly anticipated album project ‘Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1’.

 “When I was compiling this album, I knew I wanted to dedicate it to my daddy, Engr. Charles Oladele Ogunleye – who passed in 2014,” Simi wrote on her Instagram. “I’m blessed to have come this far. I’m blessed that it was possible for me. I do not take this for granted.”

On the album, Simi shows off a lot more of her range, both as a songwriter and as a singer, resulting in one of the year’s most well-rounded projects. While almost every track soars, the undeniable standouts are the Adekunle Gold-assisted “By You” and “Immortal” featuring Maleek Berry.
