Rema’s latest visual release is an ode to African Women.
His latest smash hit, “Woman” is a blend of the Amapiano genre, popular in South Africa and the more familiar Afropop sound we are accustomed to from Rema.
Directed by UAX Studios, who also shot “Ginger Me”, the video features Rema with plenty women as mentioned in the song’s lyrics.
The vibrant visuals portray him in the midst of melanated women while Rema chants, “I too like woman” as the dancers perform an enchanting choreography in the background.
The video is set in a dark -lit room with shots of the dancers invoking the song’s danceability, with a captivating shot featuring a group of beautiful black women gazing directly into the camera.
The Nigerian artist enjoyed a breakout year in 2019 when he dropped his Bad Commando EP.
Rema has spent 2020 releasing a string of singles with “Woman” following “Alien,” “Ginger Me,” “Beamer,” and “Rainbow.” He also collaborated with DJ DS on “Simple Things.
