The highly publicized beef between Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Davido has AfroBeat fans around the world taking sides. Over the weekend Davido took to Snapchat and took shots at Wizkid’s success, claiming that his “Pon Pon” sound has taken over the AfroBeat scene.

Wizkid responded via twitter with a series of tweets taking aim at Davido’s career.

With Wizkid currently enjoying the success of his global hits “One Dance” and “Come Closer” in collaboration with Hip Hop Superstar Drake, its hard to deny his supremacy on top of the AfroBeat world. However, with new 2017 releases like “Fall” and “If”, Davido is gearing up to take shots at Wizkid’s newly acquired throne.
