Ghanaian-born, London based Afropop singer-songwriter Kingsley Brown unveils his debut single “Drunk On You.”
Produced by Craig Sellar, Kingsley combines an array of infectious R&B, Afropop, and hi-life influenced sounds, to narrate the concept of “Drunk On You” a dynamic, catchy melodic track, that’ll make people get up on their feet and dance.
With years of experience in the industry, and having been exposed to a wide range of musical influences from a young age, like Bob Marley, Usher, and Fela Kuti and Daddy Lumba, he has developed an ability to compound different sounds, melodies and lyrics to produce some quality songs.
Credited and working, with the likes of Cheryl Cole, Peter Andre, Shift Key, Jason Derulo, Ella Eyre to name a few, Kingsley as the years went by, connected with other musicians, developing his craft and releasing music.
Speaking on the inspiration behind “Drunk On You” Kingsley says “I’d like to think I’m bringing a different flavor and a new sound to the Afrobeats scene, one that has an eclectic sound and r&b/pop/ hi-life influences. Although the journey of songwriting has been a great learning curve, I am ready to embark on my solo career that takes me back to my roots.”
