SFTOS Launch Takes Over SOBs in NYC

The crowd at SOBs was loaded with energy as Wizkid introduced his highly anticipated EP “Sounds From the Other Side”. The EP, which was released this past Friday, has been receiving great feedback all around. People around the world have already claimed their favorites on the album, in addition to the chart toppers that were released prior to July 14th.

Starboy’s fans showed their true appreciation for his work, as a line formed up along Varick street hours before the event. Once he hit the stage, Wizkid entertained the packed audience with classic throwbacks like “Tease Me”, “Slow Down” and “Back to the Matter”. He then made his way to introduce #SFTOS with tracks “Sexy”, “Sweet Love” and the hit record “Daddy Yo”. The crowd not only danced from start to finish but sang along with Starboy word for word.

Banky W, Young Paris and Starboy Entertainment’s very own, Efya, came to show their support to Wiz, as they danced among the packed crowd. Midway through his performance, Wiz showed his appreciation to everyone who has assisted him along the way with the project; shouting out his team at RCA, his management, Efya, DJ Tunez, and Banky W, for giving him a chance from the start.

He ended off his performance with Nigeria’s unofficial national anthem “Ojuelegba”. Even though this was the last song of his performance, that didn’t stop the crowd from dancing the night away, exuding the AfroBeat vibe all night at SOBs.
