WizKid Shut Ish Down For His D.C. Debut

WizKid might have started a new July 4th weekend tradition!

Washington D.C. is always a hot spot for American Independence Day Weekend, but the presence of Nigeria’s very own WizKid took the celebration to a whole other level.

Making his first stop ever in the nation’s capitol, WizKid jumped on stage to perform in front of a packed house at Echostage.  Serving his latest Sounds from the Other Side hits, like Come Closer and African Bad Gyal, WizKid had the crowd singing and dancing along from wall to wall.  And of course, no Wizkid show would be complete without his classics like Caro and Show You The Money.

But the audience erupted with ovation as DC’s own Wale joined WizKid on stage.  The surprise performance included his many dance hits like Clappers and Fashion Week. The two rocked the house in a way only they could;  bringing music and people together, celebrating the culture.

Not sure if Echostage has ever seen a performance quite like that one.  It may have to be a new American Independence Day tradition.  Washington D.C. July 2018 anyone?

P.S: You don’t have to wait until then to see the next WizKid show.  Check here to see when he’ll be making a stop near you.
