Amapiano, which debuted around 2015 out of South Africa, is undoubted on the rise as a music genre reaching across the globe. The kings of Amapiano DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small AKA “The Scorpion Kings” are back with another project, this one titled “Once Upon A Time In Lockdown.”
Ghanaian-British super producer Juls links with South African Queen Busiswa and South London’s Jaz Karis for “Soweto Blues”. Juls taps into a soft sound of house and soul with some elements of Amapiano, the new sound wave taking over South Africa at the moment.
Beyoncé has revealed the tracklist for her new Lion King-inspired album The Lion King: The Gift. Consisting of 14 new tracks, the album features leading African musicians Mr. Eazi, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly.
